West Virginia Central CU Shares the Love via video entry—Needs your vote — 10/6/16

From organizing fundraisers to volunteering at food pantries, credit unions throughout the country are giving back to their communities. Now, it’s your turn to shine and be part of a collective effort to tell your story and share the love.

The Share the Love campaign is a video submission contest that awards a total of $122,500 to charities nationwide*, to be donated on behalf of the winners. The official contest runs from October 1 to December 16, 2016, and monthly winners will be determined by public votes. Credit unions may begin uploading their videos now to LoveMyCUCampaign.org.

West Virginia Central Credit Union in Parkersburg has submitted a video for the second year in a row, and is hoping to raise charitable funds for the local Humane Society, but they need to earn the most votes in their asset category in order to win.

“We are asking our fellow League member credit unions to vote for our video,” stated Whitney Dabbelt, Marketing Strategist for WV Central. “We also encourage other credit unions to create and share a video,” she added.

How you can get involved

Create a short video showcasing your good works and not only will you inspire others to perform acts of kindness, you could also win up to $21,000 for your charity.* This year, there’s even more money for charities — up to $122,500 — and more ways to win! Each month, the top vote-getter in each asset category wins a $5,000 donation to their charity of choice.
