League Chairman, Mike Tucker Honored in Washington, D.C. — 3/9/23
WASHINGTON, DC – Twenty-three credit union champions including Mike Tucker, CEO of West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union were inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders in honor of their significant contributions to the credit union industry. The ceremony took place at the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C. on Sunday, February 26. Members of the Hall of Leaders are exceptional individuals that have dedicated their lives to perpetuating the credit union mission and philosophy.
“The Credit Union House Hall of Leaders provides lasting recognition at the Capitol Hill facility for outstanding leaders whose work has made a significant impact on the credit union movement at the local, state, or national level,” said Patrick La Pine, Credit Union House chair. “Each of these leaders made incredible contributions that have had a tremendous influence on our movement.”
Tucker, a Wood County resident, whose credit union career has spanned forty years, was nominated by the West Virginia Credit Union League where he has served as a volunteer director since 1994, and currently serves as its Board Chairman.
“Mike has served as a tireless and effective advocate for the credit union movement for four decades now,” stated Rich Schaffer, President and CEO of the West Virginia Credit Union League. “This honor is well deserved, and we are proud to have Mike enshrined in the Hall of Leaders,” he added.
