ESPN’s Mark Adams, CU Doctor David Reed, and NCUF’s Gigi Hyland on tap for 78th League Annual Meeting — 4/17/14
Set Sail for Success in Morgantown
Three powerful speakers, with three very different resumes will converge at Morgantown’s Waterfront Place Hotel in two weeks to share their passion and expertise with credit unions attending the League’s 78th Annual Meeting.
“We are excited about this solid lineup of speakers for our 78th League Annual Meeting,” said League President Ken Watts. “Each has ‘sailed to success’ in their respective professional fields, and are sure to enlighten our guests with their knowledge and experience.” Watts added.
Since 1938, the League Annual Meeting has become an annual Spring tradition that joins together credit union officials and staff to forge new friendships, learn of new system developments, and to recognize achievement.
On the opening evening, the League will be hosting a Credit Unions For Kids theme basket live auction to benefit Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Proceeds from the auction will be donated to local CMN affiliate WVU Children’s Hospital. To date, over 20 baskets have been pledged to the auction. The League has partnered with CMN since 1995 raising thousands of dollars to benefit sick children locally.
“As with previous League sponsored fundraisers for CMN, credit unions have continued to show their generosity by donating their time and treasure to this worthy cause,” noted Watts.
The League also welcomes “extraordinist” Craig Karges as the featured after-banquet entertainment. Karges has made over four thousand appearances in seventeen countries on four continents and in all fifty states. Hecombines the art of magic with the science of psychology and the power of intuition to create the impression that nothing is impossible.
