Healthcare Insurance Options: September 9, 2026 10AM via Zoom

Let’s Start a Conversation

A virtual roundtable led by the League’s Rich Schaffer

Managing employer healthcare program costs and which benefit options are available to credit unions is a question we receive from time-to-time.

There are many variables that determine eligibility and affordability for employer-based health insurance programs.  What factors determine those costs? The market is complex, costly, and can be overwhelming to some employers to manage or even enter.

Related questions that often come up...

  • Are there any newer group health options available?
  • What are other credit unions doing to manage this employee benefit?
  • Are smaller employee group health plans affordable and sustainable?
  • How can we scale the benefit cost if our group is smaller?
  • How can we switch to another health plan without giving up coverage?

Our guest presenters

Join us along with Sam Boore, Director of Operations for Interlutions and Michael Filandino, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bayer Heritage FCU to provide their perspectives on managing rising healthcare program costs and available plan alternatives.

Sharing ideas and possibilities

Please note that the League is not endorsing a particular healthcare insurance plan or agent/organizer of group plans. The League seeks to be a “discussion starter” for the exchange of ideas among its League member credit unions. We will not share the participant list with outside parties.

We encourage credit union participation during the discussion. Share your experiences and ideas with the group.

We invite credit union board members, committee volunteers, and paid staff to join us.
