League Debuts New Website — 1/29/14
The West Virginia Credit Union League’s website (wvcul.org) has gone live with a major redesign to enhance the site’s appearance, navigation and organization. The redesign has been in development for the past six months with the assistance of Cade & Associates, a Florida based design firm.
“Our staff has been in close collaboration with Cade in order to present a site that is easier to use, quicker to navigate, and more visually appealing,” said League President Ken Watts. “We want a site that credit unions can easily access online information that is relevant to their professional and volunteer duties.”
The redesigned www.wvcul.org features these changes:
- Better navigation. League staff reconsidered how the site was laid out from the perspective of its visitors, choosing tabs and groupings that are most natural for them. Content is now grouped under eight major categories with drop down menus delineating the specific content in each area for faster navigation. The new site also offers consumers access to SmarterChoice.org, a CUNA developed site that includes a credit union locator and consumer oriented information.
- Improved integration. The site has added more links from informational pages to product and service provider pages, and vice versa, making it easier for visitors to find what they are seeking.
- Increased automation. League member credit union visitors will be asked to create a unique password so they can access all content on the web. (Those wishing to access PolicyAid will need to set-up a separate password through the web site.) * Streamlined appearance. A more attractive and contemporary design presents a stronger initial impression of the League and the credit union movement.
“We certainly welcome any feedback from our credit unions once they have had a chance to explore the site,” Watts stated. “We want to insure that we are providing information that is relevant, timely, and useful.”
